Baby Backstreet Boy

posted by Kay in The Press Archives

Backstreet Boy Brian Littrell and his wife, actress Leighanne Wallace, have announced that they are expecting their first child - a boy - at the end of the year. Wallace was an extra in the video for his group’s hit song “As Long As You Love Me” when she met the pop star, and they were married two years ago. His bandmate Kevin Richardson tied the knot around the same time, but Brian will be the first of the Boys to become a daddy. The group is currently in the studio working on their follow-up to 2000’s “Black and Blue”. Nick Carter’s solo album - entitled “Now or Never” drops on October 22. Nick visited MuchMusic yesterday and he talked about the Backstreet family’s soon to be new member. “That’s part of life, things like that happen,” said Carter. “I’ve got mad respect. I love Brian and I’m happy for him. I can’t believe it.”

Brian Littrell: It’s a boy

posted by Kay in The Press Archives

September 3, 2002
Expectant dad, Backstreet Boys star Brian Littrell, is excited to discover that his wife Leighanne will be giving birth to a boy.

The singer, 27, and his 33-year-old spouse are expecting to welcome their first child at the end of the year, and although they have yet to decide on a name for their offspring, they’re excitedly preparing for the addition to their family.

Littrell says of the pregnancy, “We were a little surprised, but it’s a good time because our schedules are lightening up a little bit.”

“I’ve always wanted kids. I have a great relationship with both of my parents and now I want to share that with my kid. I’ll have to pass out gifts this year at Christmas.”
